Ski report - sourthern Herkimer county - 12/31/2007

      After a couple days of melt we had a day of freeze. Bustable crust, consolidated, thin snowpack.
Then last night about 6" of cold powder.  Temp. hovering about 30F, -1C
Had the right wax right away.
My old third of a mile loop couldn't be better.  Wish I could say same about skier.
Second lap better than the first.  
Then i wanted to try a new slope, first time since i mowed the grass.
Real nice, real nice. Snow was too heavy to control at speeds like that.
Could not say if that was a cartwheel dismount, or a roll.
Arms and legs, skis, a lotta snow everywhere.
hahaahahahahahahaha, winded.
Time to come in, Monte was cold.
